On Friday, the opposition National Unity Platform party was thrown into panic after the Electoral Commission informed party officials that the signatures submitted to support the presidential bid of their president, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentam,u were insufficient.
Lewis Rubongoya, the Secretary General, accused the EC of trying to frustrate the party’s agenda to field a candidate in the 2026 general elections.
