MorningAtNTV: Marine Safety | Will the new regulations work?
The Works Ministry is planning a legal instrument that will help regulate marine transport in a bid to save lives. Speaking to NTV, State Minister for Transport Fred Byamukama says the police will be out on the lake next week. No boats will be allowed on the waters between 6 in the evening and 6 in the morning. On Wednesday, over 20 people died when a boat they were traveling in, sunk in Lake Victoria.
