Uganda's fish stocks slowly recover, stakeholders report
Over the last 3 years, fish stocks in Uganda’s lakes have been declining due to overfishing, rising water levels, and illegal fishing, forcing fish processing plants to operate below capacity. However, during a deliberation by stakeholders, including civil society organizations, meeting in Kampala today, it was revealed that stocks are slowly increasing. Betty Ndagire reports
