Amuru health officials confirm 27 cumulative measles cases
Health officials in Amuru district are battling an outbreak of measles. According to Denis Okello, the Amuru District Assistant District Health Officer of Amuru, the outbreak was confirmed by the Ministry of Health on February 27, this year. This came after five samples that were taken to the Uganda Virus Research Institute turned out positive..Okello explains that the majority of cases which cumulatively stands at 27 have been registered in Okidi Parish with two new cases confirmed in Pupwonya Parish also in Atiak Sub County this week.
