Burundi army in Uganda benchmarking UPDF’s food security initiatives
A team of senior soldiers from Burundi army is in the country to benchmark the efforts of Uganda's People’s Defence Forces in supporting the government to address food security in the region. According to the Burundi National Defense and Staff College, the UPDF has demonstrated exemplary support to the government in agricultural initiatives that supply food to the region. The contingent is expected to visit different farms, including the National Animal Genetics Resource Centre and Data Bank and the Fisheries Training Institute.
