EAC FEDERATION: Experts start constitution consultations
A committee of experts tasked with drafting the constitution of the East African Political confederation has started holding consultative meeting within the country. According to committee chair Justice Benjamin Odoki, these 14 day consultative meetings are intended to engage all stake holders on what should be captured in the constitution to make a a fully functional confederation that will benefit all member countries. Although the committee was scheduled to hold a meeting with Ugandan ministers this morning, this meeting has been postponed after the ministers failed to turn up with the exception of local government minister Rapheal Magyezi.
