Education Ministry warns unlicensed vocational institutions
The Ministry of Education has warned the proprietors of unlicensed vocational training institutions to cease operating illegally or face arrest. Addressing new principals of vocational training institutions in Jinja, the Commissioner for Vocational and Technical Training at the Ministry, Loy Muhwezi, stated that this issue has contributed to the rise in unskilled learners with substandard vocational skills. Engineer Richard Kalanzi, a member of the Directorate of Industrial Training Council, appealed to the public to stop undermining vocational education.
