Energy Minister Ruth Nankabirwa tours 4.8,MW Waki Power Dam
The Government is looking for over 3.5 million dollars to construct the power distribution line from the 4.8 Mega Watts Waaki Hydro Power Dam in Buliisa District. The Dam that is situated at River Waaki was commissioned three years ago but is yet to meet its potential. Energy Minister Ruth Nankabirwa, who is in the area, expressed the hope that the dam would finally start to return value on the investment made. The distance from Waaki to Hoima Sub-Station is 62 km.
