FDC officials say the party still holds a grip on the Acholi sub-region, debunking information that the group has been crippled following the recent unverified reports that some FDC politicians in the region are ready to work with the ruling NRM party. Several FDC core leaders won the 2021 general elections; however, their relationship with the NRM party is unsettling the party in the region. FDC leaders who held a press conference in Kitgum town insist that the party is still strong in the Acholi region.
