Habib Buwembo demands refund of bail money
Political activist Habib Buwembo stormed the High Court premises in Kampala this morning, demanding a refund of his bail money. Buwembo was arrested in 2022 for allegedly making a malicious publication against Speaker of Parliament Anita Among. To secure his freedom, he paid 3 million shillings in bail. Despite the case being dismissed, Buwembo claims the concerned parties have refused to refund his bail money, prompting his protest.
