Kabaka Mutebi turns 70: A look at long-reigning royals of Buganda
Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi will turn 70 years old on Sunday, April 13. However, he is not the first in the royal family to reach this grand age. Several members have reigned as long as Mutebi, who has ruled for 32 years. In this installment of our series on the Kabaka's upcoming birthday, we look at some of those who reigned over Buganda for extended periods, including those who abdicated to allow other royals to take over.
