The violence meted out to journalists was also visited on politicians in Kawempe, who are nursing injuries sustained following what appeared to be a deliberate attack by the security forces during the Kawempe North by-election.Testimonies show terror was unleashed on the injured in a similar fashion involving suffocation inside the congested infamous Toyota Hiace Vehicles, known as drones, where they were violently beaten up.The Mawokota North Member of Parliament, Hillary Kiyaga says they were dropped outside Kiruddu Referral Hospital at 1am after the beatings, at an unidentified detention facility.
