Legislator Mwijukye evacuated to Nakasero hospital
Buhweju County legislator Francis Mwijukye has been evacuated to Nakasero Hospital for further treatment following an attack by a group of machete-wielding youths in his home district. Mwijukye was attacked by thugs suspected to be associated with Frank Kamugisha and Edwin Bwambale, who claim ownership of a portion of Rwanyamabale Catholic Church land. The MP, who had gone there to intervene in a wrangle, was treated at Buhweju Health Centre before being transferred to Divine Mercy Hospital in Mbarara. He has now been brought to Kampala for further management.
