Minister Kabbyanga cautions riders on money lenders
The Minister of State for ICT and National Guidance, Godfrey Kabbyanga, has revealed that money lenders hinder the development of boda boda riders. He added that the government is working on plans to acquire ambulances to help save riders and passengers involved in accidents. The Minister who was meeting boda boda riders at their offices on Martin Road in Kampala, says they plan to set up several activities, including marathon races in different areas, with boda boda riders actively participating. The Minister was also concerned at the distressing situation where accident victims, in urgent need of medical attention due to pain, are instead transported on police patrol pick-ups.
