NUP demands immediate release of detained supporters
In the wake of Friday's Supreme Court ruling which formally ended the prosecution of civilians in military courts, the National Unity Platform (NUP) has announced plans to storm the General Court Martial, demanding a discharge and immediate release of all its supporters, currently detained under its orders.Lawyers for these supporters say that if there is no progress by the court martial within two days, they will pursue release orders from civil courts.
