Parliament committee pauses inquiry into digital number plates project
Members of the Physical Infrastructure Committee of Parliament have been asked to halt the inquiry into the now controversial digital number plates project. Committee members say the directive was issued in a letter by the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa. The Minister for Security, Maj. Gen. Jim Muhwezi is reported to have appealed for a pause of this particular inquiry.
