Parliament honors Museveni, UPDF for Northern Uganda peace
The parliamentary session in Gulu City, part of the scheduled regional sittings, has passed a motion recognizing President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the Uganda People’s Defence Forces for their role in pacifying Northern Uganda. The region endured nearly two decades of armed conflict between the UPDF and rebels allied with the Lord’s Resistance Army led by Joseph Kony.
