Ssekikubo clashes with UPDF at Sembabule event
The political climate in Ssembabule continues to heat up, with elections less than a year away. The district chose to commemorate Women's Day, with area Woman MP Mary Begumisa hosting the event. However, the occasion turned dramatic and political when Lwemiyaga MP Theodore Ssekikubo accused several UPDF officers, both retired and active, of involving themselves in local politics. Speaking mostly in the local dialect, Luganda, Ssekikubo warned that he was ready to forcefully defend his seat in Parliament. He has served as MP in this constituency for nearly 25 years.
