UPDF soldier runs amok, shoots bar reveler dead
Police in Masindi District are holding Aggrey Byamugisha, a UPDF corporal, on allegations of shooting a civilian dead. The deceased has been identified only as Mugisha, 32, a hawker in Masindi Town. According to the Masindi District Police Commander, Pensive Tukasiima, the UPDF soldier fired shots at a bar in the town for unknown reasons, killing the hawker who was seated inside. Residents raised an alarm, prompting police to intervene and arrest the soldier.
