Terrewode Hospital: Free fistula treatment for 2,000 women
For five years now, Terrewode Women’s Community Hospital in Soroti district has been at the helm of offering specialized treatment for obstetric fistula and restoring the dignity of those who have suffered from the condition. Each fistula surgery costs 400 US dollars; however, the women receive the treatment free of charge as the hospital works with different partners to share the costs.
