Uganda's oil refinery to begin operations in 4 years
The Oil Refinery will become operational in about four years, following the signing of a final agreement between the government and Alpha MBM in Dubai on March 31, 2025. According to Irene Bateebe, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, the design and build project will produce 60 barrels of fuel daily. The products the refinery will produce include diesel, petrol, jet fuel, and other petrochemical products. Sudhir Byaruhanga spoke to Bateebe.
