Works Ministry relaxes restrictions on driving classifications
The Ministry of Works and Transport has reviewed recommendations in the Traffic and Road Safety Act to allow heavy truck drivers and those handling taxis to obtain more than one class in their driving licenses. This has deprived them of driving more than one vehicle for some time now. This follows an outcry by heavy truck drivers, and their taxi and bus colleagues, who have more than one class in their licenses, that allows them to drive more than one vehicle.
