The Independent Electoral Commission has revised the presidential campaign schedule, moving the start date from October 4, 2025, to September 29, 2025, shortly after the presidential nominations, which will now take place from September 23 to 24, 2025.
The Commission has also rescheduled the nomination of Members of Parliament to October 22–23, 2025, pushing it forward from the previously set dates of October 15–16, 2025.
These changes were announced today as the Commission officially received its new permanent home in Lweza, where the first major activity will be the nomination of presidential candidates.
