ELECTORAL REFORMS: EC proposes ban on individuals found guilty of voter bribery

Electoral Commission (EC) Chairperson Justice Simon Byabakama has proposed amendments to the law to ban individuals found guilty of voter bribery from contesting in elections for a specified period.
Byabakama said voter bribery has become a serious problem that undermines democracy as well as free and fair elections.
