NRM CEC ELECTIONS: Candidate runs to NRM elections tribunal over irregularities

Patrick Mutabwire, the former Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government, has filed a petition with the NRM elections tribunal, alleging irregularities in Monday’s elections for the NRM Older Persons Member of Parliament for the Western region.
Mutabwire alleges that the NRM Electoral Commission, headed by Tanga Odoi, failed to use the official voter register of legitimate voters and erroneously added a large number of votes to Jacqueline Mbabazi, the declared winner of the election.
