ROAD TO 2026: Religious leaders warn against misusing pulpits

The Inter-Religious Council of Uganda (IRCU) has urged religious leaders to resist the temptation of turning pulpits into platforms for political campaigns. The council emphasised that faith leaders should focus on teaching civic responsibility, encouraging lawful participation, and reminding congregants that their vote is their voice without instructing them on whom to support.
