The Entebbe Magistrates’ Court has charged and remanded 28-year-old TikToker Ngabo Vincent on two counts: burying a campaign poster of President Yoweri Museveni and engaging in hate speech and computer misuse.

According to the prosecution, between August and September this year, Ngabo—who works as a manicurist and pedicurist and is also an upcoming musician—used his TikTok account under the name “Tutu the Man” to post content critical of President Museveni. In his posts, Ngabo claimed that Museveni, who came to power through a coup, continues to rule Uganda through dictatorship. He also criticized the President for allegedly grooming his son, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, for leadership, despite the presence of other capable youth leaders such as Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (Bobi Wine) of the National Unity Platform (NUP).

The prosecution stated that Ngabo’s comments were intended to ridicule, degrade, or demean the President, thereby inciting hostility against him as the Head of State.

In the second count, Ngabo is accused of uploading a video in which he removed and buried a campaign poster of President Museveni while singing his newly released song titled “Muvuzi wa Taxi.” The song has been described as containing hate speech, as it calls for President Museveni to step down and allow others to lead—allegedly with the intent to gain followers and promote indecency.

Ngabo pleaded guilty to the second count but not guilty to the first. Entebbe Grade One Magistrate Lillian Mazimwe remanded him until October 17, 2025, due to the absence of a state prosecutor during the session. His case will be heard on that date.

Ngabo now becomes the seventh TikToker to be charged with hate speech-related offenses against President Museveni and his family.
