Uganda's current readiness to fully exploit its oil and gas reserves | MorningAtNTV
In the year 1924, E.J. Wayland completed his "Petroleum in Uganda" report to be published in 1925. Next year will mark a centenary since serious efforts were made to begin oil production in Uganda, and according to the calendar, 2025 is the year when First Oil is expected. However, it all comes down to this year, 2024; the remaining months will have to count if Uganda is to meet its deadline of 100 years since commercial oil was first considered. Today, we delve into the main event: the completion of the East African Crude Oil Pipeline. Joining me on the program are Innocent Katungi, Supply and Commercial Manager at Lake Victoria Logistics, and Humphrey Asiimwe, CEO of the Ugandan Chamber of Mines and Petroleum.
