Engineers Board cracks down on unregistered firms
The Engineers Registration Board has issued a warning to unregistered foreign engineers, stating that they will not be allowed to work on taxpayer-funded projects.
Professor Henry Alinaitwe, the Chairman of the Engineers Registration Board, emphasized that this practice, which also involves some local engineers, negatively impacts the quality of projects.
He cited the $567 million Isimba Dam as an example, which is currently experiencing stress due to recurring structural defects.
