Expert advises gov’t to formalize automobile engineering
A former government and automobile engineering expert, Koy Kariisa, is advising the government to work on formalizing the automobile engineering sector, which employs thousands of youth across the country as motor vehicle mechanics. He says the industry largely operates in an informal environment often with no respect to exiting employment laws. This group he adds have critical mechanical skills and could contribute to the country’s industrialization agenda.
