Exporters stranded as new authority causes certification delays
Following the merger of the Uganda Export Promotion Board (UEPB) with the Uganda Free Zones Authority into one entity now called the Uganda Free Zones and Export Promotions Authority, export promotion and export clearance services have taken a turn for the worse. As a result, exporters are now stranded and facing losses in billions of shillings as they struggle to have their products certified for export.
