Monitoring and Evaluation: Government to professionalize practice
The government only has 30% of Monitoring and Evaluation officers deployed in its service delivery and this could in part explain why projects suffer from poor delivery. Development partners are extending support, to close this gap. To this end, the MasterCard foundation and its impact partner organizations under the young Africa work strategy, have graduated the Ugandan cohort of twelve young impact associates who attained high levels of skilling in monitoring and evaluation.
Five African countries Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, and Nigeria, are beneficiaries of the skilling program.
