Bishop Oliach asks priests to stick to catholic teachings
The Bishop of Soroti Catholic Diocese Joseph Eciru Oliach has asked his priests to adhere to the established teaching and strive to live a celibacy life. The Bishop made this call during the priestly ordination of Deacon Isaac Okello. During the ceremony, the Bishop also elevated Seminarian Gerald Ongodia to the order of the diaconate, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ngora. It is unusual for priestly ordinations at this time of the year, however, Fr Isaac Okello had been waiting for his ordination date for over a year, and it was adjudged that he was ready.
