Educationists call for review of 1.5 points to girls
Education experts have called for research to evaluate the contribution of the 1.5-point affirmative action policy for female students joining public universities. They say that the policy should be assessed in comparison to other factors contributing to the increase in female university enrolment, against a drop for male learners, before deciding whether it is still necessary or not.
