Wakiso leaders urge residents to pave way for stalled roads
Wakiso District leadership has urged residents along roads designated for the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Project to allow right of way for the project’s commencement. The Greater Kampala Metropolitan Program, backed by the World Bank, aims to enhance infrastructure in Kampala and surrounding metropolitan areas while easing traffic congestion on major highways. Leaders stress that the project requires public cooperation to proceed, as compensation was not included in the plan. The district leaders are now appealing to residents to support the program, highlighting its potential to improve their areas.
