Activists warn of possible violence ahead of 2026 elections
Civil society organizations have sounded a warning of possible human rights violations in the lead-up to the 2026 general elections. They accuse the government of complacency in addressing human rights concerns, which they say could have serious consequences for the country if not addressed. This issue was raised during the Human Rights Convention in Kampala, where several stakeholders met to deliberate on the state of human rights in Uganda.
