Body of fallen Kawempe MP Muhammad Ssegirinya received in his ancestral home
The body of Kawempe North lawmaker, Muhammed Ssegirinya, has arrived at his ancestral home of Butale-Kaddugala ahead of his funeral tomorrow. The MP was declared dead on Thursday after weeks of treatment at Lubaga Hospital, where he had been battling skin cancer, for which he had also received care abroad. The cortege bearing the body was received by relatives, friends, and political leaders, including area legislator Mathias Mpuuga. The deceased legislator is scheduled to receive a national funeral, befitting his position in government, with full honors to be performed by the police.
