Byabakama urges peaceful campaigns ahead of 2026 polls
Given the recurring political violence, especially during elections, the Electoral Commission Chairman, Justice Simon Byabakama, has urged Ugandans to ensure peaceful campaigns ahead of the 2026 general election. Byabakama stated that every Ugandan must be mindful of the country’s stability and peace. He made the remarks in Arua City, where he commissioned the Electoral Commission's regional office.
