Museveni sets up Commission to resolve Apaa land dispute
The State Minister for Northern Uganda, Kenneth Omona, says President Museveni has set up a judicial commission of inquiry to probe the Apaa land conflict between the Madi and Acholi communities in Adjumani and Amuru districts, and to make recommendations that will help resolve the conflict. The two communities have been fighting for over ten years over ownership of the area, which lies on the border between Amuru and Adjumani districts and measures about 20 square kilometers.
