Census enumerators in Nansana demand payment
A group of census enumerators in Nansana municipality are demanding to be paid after completing their ten days of work, the period originally designated for the exercise. The enumerators, who were assigned to work in the Nabweru division within Nansana municipality, say they had counted all households in this area before the census was given an extension until 25th May. They argue that because of the extension, they are being forced to start in new enumeration areas, yet the Uganda Bureau of Statistics, which is conducting the census, has not fulfilled its financial obligations towards them.
