Donors agree to multi billion shilling water project in Adjumani district
Cattle farmers in Kureku Sub County, Adjumani district are set to benefit from a multi-billion shilling dam that has been constructed to improve their access to water within this area.
This dam was constructed through Northern Uganda Resilience Initiative with Support from Danish Refugee Council with a capacity of 8,000 cubic meters including spring water. The Danish Refugee Council in the Adjumani district notes that the dam can maintain water for animals throughout the year since the area has suffered water shortage for many years and it is high time to relieve the farmers from the burden of water scarcity.
