East Africa Crude Oil Pipeline advancing despite legal challenges
The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development is confident that the East Africa Crude Oil Pipeline is on course, with great progress made in land acquisition and compensation. Together with the government, the Petroleum Authority of Uganda reveals that 92 percent of the project-affected persons have been compensated. This comes at a time when some project-affected persons are challenging the compensation in courts of law."
