Government launches UGX 103M Hass avocado export
The Central Government has flagged off the first consignment of fresh Hass avocado fruits worth over 103 million shillings. According to the NAADS Executive Director, Dr. Samuel Mugasi, the Hass avocado business is untapped and has abundant yields for Ugandans invested in it. The Chairperson of the Parliamentary Agricultural Committee, Linda Auma, added that MPs were finalizing a bill to enable agricultural investors to support local farmers in further developing the sector.
