Health ministry dismisses Fort Portal hospital director after artist's death
A week after local artiste Moses Kigambo Araali collapsed and died at Fort Portal Regional Referral Hospital from reported neglect, the Ministry of Health has moved to dismiss the director, Dr. Alex Adaku. The move, by the ministry's Permanent Secretary Dr. Diana Atwine, followed a major outcry from locals in Fort Portal, who claimed the hospital administration at Buhinga had exercised excessive neglect in patient care.
