Man who was knocked by a diplomatic car in dilemma
Asuman Lukwago, a resident of Nyanama in Wakiso District, is appealing for help from the American Embassy after he was left crippled in a February accident involving an American diplomat. According to Lukwago, he has received no support despite incurring medical expenses in the accident. For their part, Traffic Police confirmed they have received a report about the accident and have sought clarification on how to handle a matter involving a person with diplomatic status.The police have advised Lukwago to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, noting that the diplomat was at fault.
