Pan-Africanists to converge in Butiama for Nyerere pilgrimage, marking 25 years since EAC revival
On October 14th, various Pan-Africanists from Africa will converge in Butiama village in Tanzania, the birthplace of the former president of Tanzania Julius Nyerere, one of the Pan-Africanists who contributed to the independence of many African countries. Organizers say the Butiama pilgrimage is intended to mark 25 years after the revival of the East African Community. Students, politicians, and business people with support from Kiira Motors, have come on board to transport the pilgrims.
