Push for greater awareness of AfCFTA benefits
There are growing calls for African regulators and policymakers to take deliberate actions to intensify awareness of the operational mechanisms of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) so that businesses can leverage the benefits of the agreement. To this end, regional advocacy bodies such as the East African Business Council are now actively engaging businesses in manufacturing, professional services, food processing, and export and import activities, using funding support from the European Union to promote trade within the continental block.
