UBOS says initial report will be released in June
The Uganda Bureau of Statistics reports that the data so far collected from the 2024 national housing and population census indicates that the number of households has risen by almost double. According to Dr. Chris Mukiza the Executive Director of the Uganda Bureau of Statistics, 99% of the population was enumerated in the 16-day national census exercise. The bureau is now revisiting areas where 1% of the population was not enumerated to ensure that this data is captured before the release of the final report in December 2024
