The belief that appearance and weight determine a person’s skills and values is prevalent in our society, and people feel confident when they are continually told that they look good. But what happens to the confidence of those whose appearance does not meet societal standards? Gillian Nantume spoke to two women about their frustrations with being denied employment because of their size.
