Maxine Anyango gears up for FIBA Zone V AfroBasket qualifiers
Following her impressive performance last year in the FIBA Zone V U18 Women’s AfroBasket qualifiers, youngster Maxine Annyango is among the 10 players currently training in Lugogo ahead of the FIBA Zone V Women’s AfroBasket qualifiers, which are set to tip off next month in Egypt. Annyango was the MVP at the U18 Zone V Qualifiers and also represented the country at Basketball Without Borders. She played a key role in helping Uganda clinch a historic finish in the finals of the FIBA U18 Women’s AfroBasket, where they finished fourth at the tournament held in South Africa.
